- Fecal coliforms are the group of bacteria that are present specifically in the gut and feces of the warm-blooded animals.
- As the origins of fecal coliforms are very specific, fecal coliforms are considered as an accurate indication of animal or human waster in the surface water that can come from improper filtration of the wastewater in the wastewater treatment plants.
